JoVi Anderson, MA, LPCC
Experience: I’ve been in the field 10 years now and have enjoyed working with families, individuals, teens, and children to bring about change. I have previous experiences working with at-risk populations including incarcerated men, adults with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, at-risk women, children, and adolescents. I have experience across various settings including safe houses, sexual assault hotlines, correctional facilities, intensive-outpatient programming and day treatment.
Therapeutic Style: I value person-centered therapy and believe in bringing creativity, collaboration, and exploration and meaning-making into sessions. I utilize various expressive therapies as needed such as: sand tray, theraplay, play therapy and art in my work with clients. Yet also lean into talk therapies using structural family therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Overall, I believe in a person-centered approach to help experience change.

A Personal bit about JoVi: I enjoy playing instruments, making music, being outside camping, floating, or mountain biking. I was adopted as a teen & love time spent with family. I married the love of my life and we have a miracle baby. I have coffee-dates & care for a loved one with dementia. I did hit my own rock bottom once in this life and found that God indeed is the rock at the bottom.
